Handicap Information for People with Disabilities
The management and employees of the Putnam Lodge Hotel in Cross City, Florida make special efforts to accommodate persons with disabilities.
The Putnam Lodge was built in 1927 by the Putnam Lumber Company. After purchasing The Putnam Lodge in 2013, we contacted the building officials for ADA Compliance. During inspections, it was determined that bathroom sizes could not be increased due to structural issues. Items like door size, grab rails, toilet height, parking, signage, ramps, etc., were corrected and a certificate of occupancy was issued.
We have handicap wheelchair access to bathrooms, handicap parking, ramps, door sizes and signage for our lobby, event areas, and restaurant. The first floor of the Putnam contains guest rooms that can accommodate those using walkers, as well.
